These Terms of Use apply to everyone who uses the True North Virtual School website or registers for our courses. By using this website or registering for a course, you agree to these terms. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them on the student’s behalf.
Our courses
True North Virtual School offers online Ontario credit courses for Grades 9 to 12. Course descriptions, grades and fees are listed on our Courses page. We may update courses, course content and fees from time to time. The fee shown when you register is the fee you pay.
Registering
When you register, you agree to:
- give true, complete and up-to-date information
- tell us if your details change
- provide documents we ask for, such as a transcript for courses with a prerequisite
We may delay or cancel a registration if the information is incomplete or incorrect, or if a prerequisite isn’t met. If we cancel a registration for one of these reasons, we’ll explain why and handle any payment according to our Refund Policy.
Fees and payment
Fees are shown in Canadian dollars and are paid online when you register. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Course access begins after payment is received and the registration has been reviewed.

Your account
After registration, students receive login details for our online learning platform. Students must keep their login details private and must not share their account with anyone. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
Academic integrity
All work submitted must be the student’s own. Copying, sharing answers, using someone else to complete work, or misusing AI tools is not allowed. Our
Academic Integrity Policy explains what is expected and what happens if the rules are broken.
Student conduct
Students must be respectful in all communication with teachers, staff and other students. We may suspend or remove a student from a course for serious or repeated misconduct.
Course materials
All course materials, lessons and website content belong to True North Virtual School or its licensors. You may use them for your own learning only. You may not copy, share, sell or publish them without our written permission.
Using this website
You agree not to misuse this website, including trying to access areas you’re not allowed to, interfering with how it works, or using it for anything unlawful. The website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to keep our website and courses accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee they will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent allowed by law, True North Virtual School is not responsible for indirect losses arising from the use of this website or our courses.
Decisions made by other schools, universities, colleges or organizations about admissions or credit are their own, and outside our control.

How we collect and use personal information is explained in our
Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page. Continuing to use the website or our courses after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
